The houses combine well-known horror properties with Universal’s own creations, which means even regular visitors have something completely new to experience each year.
The scare zones are a big part of what makes HHN feel different from visiting a collection of standalone haunted houses. Once you’re inside the event, the horror follows you between attractions. Scareactors roam specially themed areas of the park, while fog, lighting, sets and sound effects help transform Universal Studios Florida after dark.

If you love the idea of Halloween Horror Nights but Orlando isn’t in the cards, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood delivers its own version of Universal’s massive horror event.
For 2026, the event features eight haunted houses inspired by major horror franchises and stories, with announced properties including Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead Burn.
Hollywood also has something its Orlando counterpart doesn’t: the Terror Tram. Instead of staying inside a traditional haunted house, guests board the Studio Tour tram before being dropped into parts of Universal’s famous backlot, where they continue through the experience on foot.
Scare zones, roaming performers, themed food, and select attractions round out the night. Like Orlando, however, this is designed to be scary. Universal warns that the event may be too intense for young children and does not recommend it for anyone under 13.

Rather than having one definitive Halloween event, Las Vegas Halloween weekend is made up of costume parties, nightclub events, concerts, bar celebrations, themed attractions, and special events scattered across the Strip and downtown.
If nightlife is your priority, you’ll find some of the biggest clubs hosting Halloween events where costumes can be almost as impressive as the venues themselves.
